The Pretentious Artists who draw here every Friday night are having a group show at the Brandt Gallery in September. The theme will be drawings of the back of Tim’s head.

This is a heads up so to speak.Cory

I embedded this video shot by Lou Muenz because I really want my Midpark Marching band alumnus friend to see this and was afraid a link would not be enough to get him over to loumuenz.com. to watch it. Shot in Lincoln Park, 8/25/08 by Lou Muenz. I wish I had been there and danced around with my shirt off.

RMO is a 30 piece marching band from NYC. they have been touring the US in a green & silver school bus.

this visit to cleveland they were joined by the local ‘food not bombs’ that provided free food, kickball, fortune telling, unicorn rides and literature..

Graffiti artists at Market Square. 8/23/08.While tagging (no pun intended) along with Linda at the West Side Market looking for a good tomato we stumbled across a bunch of graffiti artists struttin’ their stuff across the street at the Market Square. Since I like bicycling I enjoyed the image at the left. It wasn’t my favorite but it reminded me of how I feel like a Hot Dog when I’m hauling my package around town on my bicycle.

Demolition of the Dollar bank building The former Dollar Bank building at E. 6th and Euclid is getting demolished to make way for an outdoor plaza and pedestrian walkway between Euclid and Prospect  Avenues. The Atrium Office Plaza at the left of the carnage is getting rehabbed and it stands right now stripped of  the late sixties brown marble turd polishing exterior treatment. We saw this as we were checking out Euclid Ave. near Public Square as it emerges from the almost three years of “Corridor” construction.

I love my little Cleveland, my little hometown. It’s really odd to walk around down there right now.  As we walked down Euclid  every other building was being rehabbed into lofts while the buildings in between either looked like they were hit with a bomb or as in the case of the former May Co. looked like ghosts of their former selves. Most had some kind of art hanging in their abandoned storefronts looking out at the fresh concrete of the Euclid Corridor.

Turning on to E. 4rth as most of you know there’s now a fairly thriving restaurant district that’s allot farther along in it’s transformation. I’m hoping the Euclid Ave. transformation is as successful.

Theota Ave. I saw this festive house as I bicycled through my childhood neighborhood. If I ever move outta here I’ll always have the image of a square, dry, summer lawn surrounded by this particular type/era of cement as a primordial personal memory. There’s no place like home.

The best part of this ride was taking the Treadway Creek bike path (mile 3) from Jennings up to the top of the valley. They designed it so it makes the climb easy, allot easier then going up Jennings Rd. where you go up 100 ft. in about 200 yards. The Treadway bike path spreads it out over about 800 yards. Highly recommended if your riding from Tremont to Parma. Thanks to Allen Scrovatch for pointing out this little bike path branch that I never knew existed.

Drawing Angelica.

Dan's finger tries to attack him.

At the end of the night Dan had to fend off an attack from his finger.
